Not the Best Desk

For longer than we’d care to admit, our thinking and making mostly took place on a single Ikea desk. One desk for two people was becoming totally unmanageable; but two desks for two people seemed sort of unreasonable too. As usual, we compromised and conceived of a two-person desk, which could actually be thought of as an endless system of desk that we happened to give up on after two segments.

As far as desks go, it is definitely a place you can sit, and sort of gets the job done, all while looking passable. White silicone patches reveal the unremarkable construction method. Little knobs lift the shelves off the floor and the worktop off the shelves, creating a little nook to hide cables or junk mail or books you promised yourself you’d read soon. We could go on forever, and if plywood went on forever then the desk could too, but we're pretty sure neither warrant that.
